Upon completion, participants will be able to competently:

• Plan the work for the prevailing working conditions

• Pick-up and stack loads
• Safely move the load
• Manoeuvre/position loads
• Use the controls and operating systems
• Negotiate hazards
• Work in confined spaces
• Parking procedures
• Stop, shut down and secure the equipment after the completion of operations
• Maintenance checks

To learn this course, you will need to:

• Participants should have sufficient literacy and numeracy to read and comprehend instructions for safety at the workplace (Workplace Health & Safety requirement)
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
• Have sufficient physical strength and dexterity to do safety checks and basic maintenance and operate the forklift truck as required

RIIHAN201E and TLILIC2001

The difference between these two forklift competencies is that the RIIHAN201E Forklift is used mainly in the mining industry and the TLILIC2001 competency is a High Risk Licence and used in the general industry.
