Course Overview
Interested in working in a field that requires the use of chainsaws and
felling small trees? Our 2-day training course will teach you everything you need to know! You’ll learn all about the maintenance, prep and
operation of hand-held chainsaws in a way that emphasises safety to yourself, others and the environment. We also cover the whole process of
small tree felling, from the initial assessment of conditions right through to the clean-up, as well as cross-cutting techniques to get the
most volume and quality from the fallen timber.

Entry Requirements |
AHCMOM213 Operate and Maintain Chainsaws must be completed before doing AHCPCM205 Fell small trees. There are no other specific entry
requirements.

Assessment Requirements |
Participants will be required to successfully complete a series of assessment tasks which may include a written exam, workbook,
observation/practical demonstration and case studies.

What Do I Need to Bring? |
Each person will need to bring with them to each day of the course:
Hard hat, chainsaw and all safety clothing will be supplied on the day by All States Training. ** If you require FPI or FWP chainsaw units, please notify All States Training staff upon booking. |
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)/Credit Transfer |
Prospective participants may be eligible to receive RPL or credit transfer depending on whether they have any previous industry experience
or hold existing qualifications. Applicants should speak with AST at the time of enrolment to discuss these options further.
